Learn how to make some origami bobbins to store your sewing threads, silk thread, ribbon or wool. These spools are sturdy and hold lots of thread. These will stop your threads from tangling and they make a great gift set.
So I got some silk threads from a bulk bin at spotlight one time, they were all neat and in their little wraps. A few years later and they are a big crazy ball of pain. So, that’s why I wanted to make them.
You can cut little notches on the side to secure the thread… You could even use a single hole punch and hang them up. Or you could use it as the end of the string of a kite… random.

The paper I use in the tutorial can be bought here. The white paper I use in the photos is thick texture paper which has gold flecks, from an old sketchbook.
Similar paper to the red pattern paper is available here (it’s small: 3 x 3 inches).
