Geometric Origami Bowl Instructions

Geometric Origami Pot Instructions

Learn how to make a pretty geometric origami bowl or dish, using a sheet of square paper. You can make another one to fit inside as the inner layer.

Or you could use this box upside down as a pretty stand for your origami animals too!

This origami pot starts off with a pentagon, which is shown at the beginning, if you have a preferred method of making a pentagon, you can skip to 2:44 in the video.

A cool thing about this origami model is to use it as a box, there is a twisting motion that happens to get the one on top of the other, making it pretty hard to open again.

Originally I was going for a drum or circus stand shape, I guess it still could be those things.

Level: ★★★☆☆

You will need:

– 1 sheet of square paper for each, I used 15 x 15 cm.
(for thicker paper, make one sheet a little smaller, or trim a bit more off
at the point you’re cutting the pentagon, so that it will fit inside nicely)

Final Size: 6.5 x 2.2 cm ish
