Origami Sailor Moon Dress Tutorial

In this tutorial I’ll show you how to make an origami sailor moon dress, which can be used on a card, hung up as a decoration, or as an outfit for an origami doll.

This tutorial is inspired by some origami sailor moon outfits I saw on Pinterest so I decided to make my own.

The ones I saw were mounted onto greetings cards, that would be cute, you could also use them on their own, the back looks quite tidy, so they could be hung up as decorations or a paper garland.

There are many ways you could make a skirt to fit onto the bodice of the dress, you could randomly fold a square sheet of paper into pleats, for this tutorial I chose to cut my paper into a circle first. A simple triangle shape could be used, or a leaf shape like this one.

There is no glue required, although you will need to use it to stop them from coming apart if you hang them up. To attach the bow, I used a split pin, but you could also use glue.
