Learn how to make some origami pull out drawers that open nicely. These drawers are longer than the previous version and folded differently. These drawers are great to keep little stationary objects in, you can increase the size by simply using larger paper.
I used glue on mine, it would still work without glue, but wouldn’t be that useful. Check out the other version here.
Level: ★★★☆☆
Designer: Paper Kawaii – Edit: I have noticed the design is similar to that of Satoshi Takagi’s drawers.
You will need:
Outer boxes:
2 sheets of square paper
I am using 21 x 21 cm
Inner drawers:
2 sheets of square paper
that are 0.5cm smaller
I am using 20.5 x 20.5 cm
Glue

Hi Chrissy,
May I ask what are the dimensions of the finished model?
Thanks.
sorry forgot to add that, Final size: 10.5 long, 5.5 tall and 5 deep cm. 🙂
Hi there, Chrissy.
I just checked out this website a few weeks ago and I think it’s really cool.
The only tip I would give is like a instructions of the folds you make Step by step if you know what I mean.
I am 16 and I am not so good at origami yet. Do you think you could help me please reply if you can
P.S Love the drawers and flip top boxes.
I’m glad you like it! 🙂
Yes, I am planning to diagram more complicated models such as the drawers and the flip box maybe, step by step photos would be a bit too time consuming and there would be too many photos I think!
What would you like help with? Have you tried the other origami drawers version? It’s a bit easier, if you’re just starting out, it’s still possible, pause the video once I did a fold, or you can slow the video down by pressing the gear ⚙ and selecting ‘speed’ 0.25 is pretty slow, you might want to mute the audio too 🙂
is there any Diagrams or stuff like, plz reply wen can 😀
Hello…
Can these be made larger, so that I can actually use them to store my clothes or something like that? I am thinking these can be first made out of paper and then, we can use cardboards or some other sturdy material to reinforce it. Please let me know if that is doable…
Thanks!
I don’t think that’s possible! You’d need extremely large paper.. I think a corrugated cardboard design would be better suited. 🙂
