Two modular origami stars, these pretty origami stars are in the shape of a “hexagram” or 6 point star, each made from 6 pieces of paper & simple to make. One is the hollow star and the other is a solid star. These are pretty simple to make, using any kind of paper, I’ve made them with both thick and thin paper. Using metallic paper also has a great effect (photos under the video).

These modular origami stars will make lovely Christmas tree decorations or at any time of year really. The hexagram shape ✡ appears in many cultures and religions including as “The Star Of David” and it’s also seen in Buddhism, Christianity and Hinduism. I really like the symbol, this origami version is nice as the shape appears twice in both stars, the solid star also has two hexagons.

Make sure to get the first diagonal fold as precise as possible so that the rest of the folds are at the right angle.
