Make some modular 3D origami numbers in digit format. Download and printout free templates of these origami numbers. Each number is made up of 7 modules. I have a printable set available for each module. There are only 3 different kinds.
To make the 2019 Numbers:
- Download the free templates here.
- Print the PDF ending with ’02-positive’ onto the paper you want the numbers to be.
- Print the PDF ending with ’03-negative’ onto the paper you want the negative space to be.
- Watch the video to be guided on how to score and fold all three of the modules.
Included in the download folder is the templates for the small numbers and also full page templates if you’d like to make a large version.
So far I have just the numbers 2019 available as small templates, I am creating templates for all the other numbers and letters. You can also work it out yourself if you want to..
To make other numbers:
- Download the free templates here. You will only need the documents ending in module a, b and c.
- Look at the image to the left to work out how many of each module you need for the numbers you wish to make.
- Print out the required module templates.
- Watch the video to be guided on how to score and fold all three of the modules.
For mine I used standard printer paper. For the larger ones I think thick paper would work the best.
It’s a good idea to use two colors of paper that are contrasting. Keep in mind what the numbers will be displayed in front of. For example if you plan to display them on a black shelf, a dark color would be good for the ‘negative space’ and a bright light color for the numbers.
Glue is not required for these origami numbers.
