Learn how to make a pretty star variation of the origami masu box. Instead of folding the flaps in at the end, they are folded back out. This is a pretty easy box to make.
If you stick the flaps down, it will make a nice lid as well. The little slots at the end are a nice finish. Or if you don’t stick the flaps down, you can fan them out, so that from the top you can see they look like stars.
It could also look like a crown or flower with the flaps sticking upwards. For a box that looks more like a crown, check out this tutorial.
Design: © Paper Kawaii Copyright Information (variation of masu box).
Level: ★★★☆☆
You will need:
– 1 sheet of square paper. I used 17 x 17 cm.
Final size: 6 x 6 cm. Paper that I used can be found here.
A Photo Tutorial is available on the Origami Photo Tutorials page.
The tutorial for the lids below can be found here. Use the same sized paper.
