This tutorial will show you how to make a cool origami drawer box. This origami ‘Tetra Box’ uses no cutting or glue, just paper. This origami drawer box is easy to make. You can use as a gift box or keep your special items inside.

Thanks to everyone who helped my come up with a name for this box of drawers. There were so many to choose from. It’s official name is Origami Tetra Box, but I went with Origami Secret Drawer Box for YouTube as it needed a more descriptive name so that people can find it.

These modular origami drawers are super easy to make. You just need to make 4 sets of box drawers and two pieces for the top and bottom.

⚠️ By the way, there is one mistake in the video: at 5:58 – I said divide your paper by 7.5 etc.. yes that’s ok but don’t bother with this measurement, all you need to do is just fold up a bit. Depending on your paper’s thickness, just make it more or less.

Another video will follow with instructions on how to stack these up without using glue. Update: here is the tutorial for that.

I created a diagram for this origami box, it’s available in my shop here.

Design: © Paper Kawaii Copyright Information
Level: ★★☆☆☆

You will need:

▸ 10 sheets of square paper. Paper used: 15 x 15 cm

Final model size: 7.5 x 7.5 x 4 cm

Of course you can use any sized paper you like, thick paper or thin card works very well.

Take these drawers further by making a tower with more than one level.

HI – i was just wondering if you could post a step by step tutorial – instead of using a video. This would be a great help as I cannot view YouTube on my computer. thanks!
